If you had lived along the
I&M Canal in the 1850’s
When: Saturday, June 29, 2013
Where: Lock 16 – 754 1st Street, LaSalle
Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Students in grades 3 – 8 are invited to Lock 16 in LaSalle to participate and experience living along the I&M canal in the 1850s.
There you will meet some famous people who worked and were passengers on the I&M Canal.
You will sing songs, play games, including a scavenger hunt, create crafts, and enjoy a ride on the mule-pulled canal boat – The Volunteer.
Your family is invited to join you for lunch and a ride with you on the canal boat, followed by the students sharing their morning activities.
Registration is limited, so don’t miss this special fun-filled day!
The program is funded in part by a grant from the Illinois Valley Fine Arts Trust.

Cost for the day’s activities is $15 per child. Lunch is included.
Adult family members are $15, which includes boat ride and lunch.
