The LaSalle County Historical Society has been the repository for an extensive collection of military artifacts connected to LaSalle County and on June 16 the Society will pay tribute to the past and present servicemen and women of LaSalle County who have served our nation in difficult times.
The program, to be conducted on the museum patio at 10 .m., will include a greeting and welcome by President Mary G. Small, a color guard and flag-raising ceremony, “God Bless America” sung by Korean War veteran Robert Barnett, introductions, and the featured address by Lt. General Richard C. Henry USAF (Ret.)
After Gen. Henry’s talk guests will tour the military exhibits and the museum complex at their own pace. Refreshments and cool drinks will be provided.
