Travelers on Interstate 80, may exit at IL 71 (exit 93/Ottawa), and take IL 71 westbound to US 6, continuing on US 6 to the intersection of US 6 & IL 178 in Utica.

Alternately, travelers on Interstate 80 may exit at IL 71 (exit 93/Ottawa) and take its scenic southern route westbound to Utica/Starved Rock. IL 71 jogs southbound through downtown Ottawa, then turns west at the stoplight on the south side of Veterans’ Memorial Bridge.

Alternately, travelers on Interstate 80 may exit at IL 39 southbound (exit 79A/Bloomington-Normal) and take either US 6 eastbound (exit 57/LaSalle) or IL 71 eastbound (exit 51/Oglesby, Hennepin) toward Oglesby to IL 178 to get to Utica/Starved Rock.

During construction season there are 3 easy alternate routes off of IL 39 that will get you to Starved Rock State Park and the charming village shops and restaurants of Utica:

Travelers on IL 39 may exit at US 6 eastbound (exit 57/Ottawa, LaSalle, Peru) toward Ottawa to get to Utica/Starved Rock.

Alternately, travelers may exit at IL 71 eastbound (exit 51/Oglesby) toward Oglesby to get to Utica/Starved Rock.

At this intersection, travelers can choose to turn left to continue following IL 71 eastbound to get to Utica/Starved Rock or may continue eastbound on Walnut Street through Oglesby to reconnect to IL 71 to get to Utica/Starved Rock.
